Spectrum Talks: All About Vegan and Cruelty Free Beauty
If you follow Spectrum you’ll know we’ve always been a vegan and cruelty free beauty company. It’s not a trend babes, it’s one of our core brand values!
A few weeks ago we ran a Spectrum Talk on Twitter to get your opinions on all things vegan and cruelty free. Is vegan beauty on your radar, and do you prefer it? Which vegan and cruelty free makeup brands are you obsessed with? Well, we asked and you gave us your thoughts. Here’s what we learned from everyone who responded on Twitter.
80% Shop Exclusively Vegan & Cruelty Free
Is not being vegan and cruelty free a deal breaker? The majority of you said: hell yes. There are more options than ever before when it comes to ethical beauty – we’re proud to be one of them – but you pointed out there’s still a way to go.
Only bought cruelty free since i was a teen and its so refreshing to have more and more brand options as the years go by, no idea why most drugstore or high end designer brands still feel the need to test on animals 😔

“Save the bunnies”
We hear you! Animals are big on our agenda and we never test on them. 100% of you said cruelty free is something you look for on your beauty shop.
Absolutely! There is no need to be testing on animals in this day and age. Really sets brands apart I think

Has the Selection of Vegan and Cruelty Free Beauty Improved, or is More Needed?
Loads of you said that it’s small brands that are leading the way – and there’s still a long way to go.
Yes! I think there’s been a massive improvement, but definitely more could be done. I’m always sad to learn of a brand that once had cruelty free status begin selling there products in China 😔
