Pretty In Pink: A More Sustainable Spectrum
So a couple of weeks ago, we introduced you to our Core Cosmetics, our incredible range of beauty goodies that are ideal for creating beautiful, glowing looks. We’ve been blown away by the response to our collection, which not only showcases some new products for Spectrum, but new eco-friendly packaging too.
But it’s not just about the packaging - our Core Collection cosmetics are the next step in our efforts to become a more sustainable beauty brand. Dive in and learn more about what makes our new pink pretties so special.
A pink jacket to die for
While we know it’s what’s on the inside that counts, we’re going to start with the outside. Our new pink outer packaging is fresh, subtle and chic - reflecting how we want you Spectrum sisters to feel when using our products.
We designed our new collection with 100% recyclable paper cartons instead of plastic, an ‘attainable sustainable’ step towards helping the environment. Simply pop your unwanted packaging in with your recycling when you’re done with it.
Enjoy a guilt-free glow
One of the most exciting products in the Core Cosmetics collection is our Glowful Mist. Our ‘golden hour in a bottle’, it’s going to be your best friend this summer. Hydrating, with a delicious scent, it’s sure to perk up your skin when you need a boost. But what’s even more great about our Glowful Mist is that the bottle is made from 30% pre-recycled materials and 70% PET, making it 100% recyclable.
While our pump and cap aren’t currently recyclable, you could always refill your empty bottle with water and your favourite essential oil to make a DIY face mist.
Meanwhile, our Glowful Primer is fully recyclable, for a guilt-free glow all summer long.
Refine, refresh and refill
Bronzer is a beauty staple, the perfect product for some instant sun and a healthy flush. As bronzer-addicts, we know how quickly you can finish a bronzer. This is why we’ve made our Sunbounce Bronzer refillable, so that you can replace your product in a sustainable way.
The compact is refillable and all its other packaging is 100% recyclable, including the inner tray which is made from paper. This was a deliberate choice to make sure the product was as recyclable as possible. The dust cover is also recyclable, and any Bronzer refill you buy can also be recycled. It really is the complete package!
Our commitment to sustainability
Since Spectrum Collections launched back in 2014, we’ve wanted to set the standard as a vegan, cruelty-free and sustainable brand. We’re constantly looking for ways we can produce our products in a more sustainable way. We use reusable or recyclable packaging across our product ranges, minimising plastic throughout our production processes.
The Core Cosmetics collection not only features a range of must-have products, it’s also brought to you in our signature pink packaging - all of which is re-fillable, recyclable or housed in plastic free packaging to help you dispose of it responsibly.
