#SPOTLIGHTONSPECTRUM

 

On Wednesday 24th May we held our first event in our hometown and what a fab evening it was too. After travelling to London for many media events, it was time to bring one home, so we were really excited to host one in Wales with the fabulous Welsh bloggers and press. We are so passionate about supporting our local community and would love to do more events in Wales since we are based here and have a fully Welsh team.

So on to the event....guests were greeted with rose gold bubbles, the perfect fit for a Spectrum welcome drink right?! Thanks so much to Hotel Chocolat for getting the prosecco flowing and also to Lakeland for their ‘Popaball’ product which turns the drink into a shimmering rose gold delight, a summer must-have for every Spectrum fan!

The Urban Flower Studio created the most mermazing floral displays which were tailored to each brush collection, these were a huge social hit. Thanks to everyone for their fabulous photos, they’re all marbleous.

A huge thanks to our babes at Candy Kittens for satisfying our sweet tooth with their delicious Pick’N’Mix pop-up.... seriously these vegan goodies fuel our office! So whilst we were sipping and nipple, the Nails Inc girls gave us the best bomb ass manicures using their newly launched rainbow collection, nothing says Summer quite like a hot pink mani.

Now on to the master-class, our Spectrum babe Sophie (Bella Beaute) was so nervous about doing her first live tutorial which was also our first time, but it couldn’t have gone better. With the gorgeous Becca modelling, Sophie was showing us all the tricks of the trade and dishing out top tips to guests but also to our fans worldwide who sent in their questions over social, we even learned a thing or two ourselves. All the products used in this tutorial were cruelty free, it just goes to show you don’t have to use products tested on animals to achieve that perfect look.

 

Once the master-class finished and our model Becca was party-ready with her glowing skin and smoky eye, we cranked up the music and turned to Dirty Martini for the most amazing Unicorn cocktails as well as a vegan food buffet from plant-based restaurant Milgi.

 

Whilst we were sad for the night to end, bloggers and journalists did leave with the most fabulous goodie bags ever!!!! A  Spectrum cookie from Cwtch Cookies, NYX Cosmetics, a Miss Patisserie bath melt, Dirty Martini power bank, an Urban Flower Studio pink marble rose and voucher, a polish from the latest Nails Inc London range, the Nip and Fab glycolic cleanser pads and of course the most beautiful make-up brushes ever – our travel set in a lilac pouch!!

 

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who made it happen especially the Tramshed for hosting the event, our fabulous sponsors and of course, our wonderful team. A lot of effort went into the event to make it picture perfect, which even meant our poor account manager Carys hanging out the back of a Volvo clinging on to our gigantic photoboard so it didn’t fly up the road just so everyone could get their Instagram shot in!
